The Lazaret n°2 was built in 1880 and was used until the half of the 20th century. It consists in particular in two dormitories made of stone with a red brick roof. The site is considered a "memory space" ("lieu de mémoire") because it reminds of the multicultural origins of the Reunion people.

NB : This worksite only concerns people from the Reunion island.

  

This formation worksite concerns Reunion people in a need for social and professional rehabilitation. 

The worksite is supported by the Reunion department, state services in charge with culture in the Reunion and the Indian ocean (Direction des Affaires Culturelles Océan indien) and the Reunion services for rehabilitation.
